Springdale is a charming small town with lots to offer. All of the restaurants, shops and galleries are easily accessible by walking or taking the free town shuttle. Here are some of our recommendations for places to visit during your time in the Canyon!
Sol Foods Supermarket is 200 yards up the road, less than 3 minutes’ walk up Juniper Lane. They have a full-service grocery store with a deli, produce section, bakery, and more.
Springdale’s seasonal farmers’ market offers live music, fresh fruits & veggies, home-baked goods and small town hospitality. Every Saturday morning from 9am to Noon.
Deep Creek Coffeehouse, Perks! At Zion NP, and FeelLove Coffee are all local favorites for morning coffee, sweet treats and lunch specials.
Restaurants
The Bit n’ Spur is a locals’ favorite and has developed a great reputation as a night spot in Springdale. The evening atmosphere is casual, and many would agree is one of the best Mexican eateries ever, with a menu running the gamut from traditional to creative.
Café Soleil is great for lunch. They pack yummy wraps to go.
Kings Landing Bistro is the Zambella’s all-time favorite. Not only do we love the chefs, Thomas, Phu, Hannah and Evelyn, the patio at Kings Landing Bistro is the perfect location after a long day of hiking the Zion Narrows. You will enjoy it as much as the Z’s.
MeMe’s Café does breakfast crepes, lunches, and unique specials each day. 100 yards up Juniper Lane from Nama-Stay.
Spotted Dog Café is a casual American Bistro with cozy art-filled dining rooms and a European-style sidewalk cafe-patio. Cuisines are handcrafted using fresh local produce, hormone-free meats and sustainable harvested fish. Menus changes with the seasons.
Switchback Grille is Zion’s original prime steakhouse and features the all-time best Ahi Tuna dish. Renowned for premier cuts of beef and fresh fish, you will get exactly what you pay for. No visit is complete without dining here!
Whiptail Grill is Catrin and Jonathan’s go-to restaurant. Vegans will love the Stuffed Avocado Salad, and the Carne Asada is an omnivore’s delight. The location is an old gas station turned into a fun space. Go early to avoid crowds.
Zion Pizza & Noodle Company is THE place for pizza. The fun environment is great for kids and families. Thai Chicken Pizza is awesome, salads are enormous and the “Good for You” Pizza is a strong second-best. Open seasonally, President’s Day Weekend through Thanksgiving.

Frontier Plunder Trading Post’s proprietor, Harriet, has taken years to fulfill her inventory to near museum-quality. You could spend hours in her store and will walk away with a buy unique to the Southwest.
Joy Craft & Design, managed by local Springdale artist, Joy Stein, is a must-visit. Unique gifts, and creative “Up-Cycled” items, art and jewelry..
The Springdale Town Hall property includes the Town Library, Town Park & Canyon Community Center, where you can find weekly Yoga & Qigong classes.
The St. Patricks Day Parade and Green Jell-o Sculpture Contest is fun for the whole family.
In the summer, the Springdale 4th of July Celebration includes a pancake breakfast, parade and evening party.
Every November, folks come from all over to race in the Butch Cassidy 10K / 5K.
