There’s a certain kind of light in Zion right before the sun disappears, when the cliffs turn ember-soft and everything slows down like the canyon is exhaling. That’s where Last Light lives.
I am honored to offer a photography experience for your beloved soul dog.
These are designed as a ritual of remembrance. A way to honor them while they are still here, and to create heirlooms you’ll reach for when they’re gone.

A love like no other
Hi, I'm Kate. I am a dog lover through and through. I always have been. Many of my earliest memories have dogs running through them. Sadly, my first heartbreak was over a dog, so I know how deep this type of love can run.
I lost my soul dog, Juniper, July 8th, 2025.
I honestly do not think I will ever get over her. But, thankfully, our home and hearts are covered with photos of her.
The only silver lining was that we knew it was her time, so we spent a couple of days with her in what I can only describe as ceremony; INTENTION IN EVERY SINGLE MOMENT.
That is what I want Last Light sessions to feel like: a ceremony.
Juniper Blue
my best girl, my muse, my soul dog
you’re not too late. You’re right on time.
If it feels right, we can include one small ritual moment during your session, like:
A short “Good Dog Letter.” You write a few sentences beforehand (I’ll give prompts). During the session, you read it quietly to them or hold it against your chest while they rest near you.
A collar blessing. You place their collar or bandana gently around their neck with intention, as a way of saying: thank you, thank you, thank you.
A final treat, slowly given. Not for tricks, just for tenderness.
None of this is required. The ritual is in the attention and affection you’re paying. I’m just giving you ideas on how to make it feel like a ceremony.

Who this is for
Thank you! I look forward to hearing from you.
If you’re here because you can feel time changing, you’re not being dramatic. You’re being present.
Last Light is for the people who want to love well while they still can, and to honor what that love meant when the house feels different later.
When you’re ready, we’ll make something worthy of them.
