An old friend who’s got years of experience, that is.
After 8 years of working with 100's of couples and 100's of families, I realize I needed to help set people at ease by anticipating their needs by answering the questions I would want answered from a Zion photographer.
SO I have created a list of answers below. However, I hop on a call with every single potential guest because that personal connections will come through in our photos, you'll feel more comfortable and I'll know you and can photograph your personality in an authentic way.
*I am unable to honor a reschedule or cancelation due to full sun or full overcast as that is a preference I can't control.
*I can not guarantee that the example photos you've seen of my work will have the same dramatic clouds or sunbeams or rainbows. Nature does want it wants and I do my best to make every single weather situation magical for YOU!
I always encourage embracing whatever the weather is calling for because it's unpredictable, it's best to set the intention of enjoying the experience regardless of weather. ...go with the flow and let nature decide the mood.
That being said, If the flood gates of heaven open, we can definitely reschedule for a later time!
With 8 years of exploring, researching, learning, and respecting this area, I have seen first hand how important Leave No Trace is.
For example,
if your ‘champagne pop’ picture is just for photos, consider using sparkling water instead – it looks the same in photos and is less damaging to the environment!

Zion is my HOME. Helping you feel welcome and at home here is a big part of my service. In fact most of the guest I connect with, have never been to Zion before so you're not alone. Sharing this area is my most favorite thing to do with y'all. Once you book, I will send over a link with tons of recommendations of local favorite restaurants, hikes, and must-see's.
As soon as you'd like but the earlier the better. Zion is the 5th busiest National Park in the NATION. It's always busy no matter the month, but if you're interested in October or November it's best to book ASAP because that's our busiest month by far. no worries though because I am an 8 year local so I know how to avoid the crowds and still get the magic of canyon views. BUT there's only one me and I take a limited number of shoots to keep a healthy work life balance and so that I can give YOU my all through the entire process.
Everyone's love deserves to be acknowledged, celebrated and documented. Nature doesn't discriminate and neither do I. Part of my mission is to make people feel at home, to feel known and seen; it's my purpose and photography is the vessel.
Once you let me know you are ready to book, I create an online proposal and contract for you to review. If you agree to the terms and services, you sign the contract and will be promoted to digital invoice and the options to pay with either bank transfer or debit/credit! I prefer ACH bank transfers, to lower my cost, which will show up as "Pay With e-Check" and connects right from your bank account to mine. (This option is so, so easy, I promise. All you need is your bank log-in and it takes 5 seconds.)
You will be given an online portal where you can sign the contract a pay a 50% retainer to hold the date. I am also open to a smaller deposit and a payment plan. We agree on those details during our call.
50% non-refundable retainer fee for date reservation and both signatures are needed to reserve one of us for your date. The rest is due 1 month prior to the event date.
We hate to make you click around but for the most up-to-date rates, please see our Investment Page.
We might not be the cheapest photographers out there but we promise you we don’t mess around when it comes to producing the highest quality work for our clients. After all, these are some of the most important memories of your life and you want to invest in someone who’s willing to pour our their heart and skills for you.
For more information on pricing, send us a quick Hello :)
After looking through everything in our portfolio and our website, especially information on Our Approach page and Investment page, send us an inquiry and tell us everything about you.
We’ll get in touch with you guys so we can get to know each other. We’ll make sure to provide all necessary information and our honest opinions so you can pick the best package for your wedding.

This is the best part in my opinion, the gallery makes its so easy for anyone you share the link with to view, download and order prints.
The gallery assist feature guides guest through the whole process the first time the email is accessed. I also provide the email template for instructions on how to use the gallery so that you don't have to explain that.
As part of every package, I include the rights to share on any platform and print high resolution images from your chosen print lab. In fact, you are able to print directly from the gallery link that will be delivery via email.
The only thing you do not have the rights to do, without my written agreement, is use the images for commercial use. For example, if you are wearing Danner boots you couldn't sell the images to that Brand. Let's talk more about that if you are interested in using the images in a commercial way.
I believe in promoting self-love and body positivity, so I don’t alter the way you look.
I always edit blemishes, bruises, dirt marks, and other things that wouldn't normally be there.
If you're self-conscious about anything in particular, let me know before the shoot and I'll be super-mindful of it while posing you!
Your images really come to life during the editing phase. I LOVE to edit, it's part of my craft, my creative outlet. It's like painting, manipulating the color and tones to create a feeling, is part of my art: part of the magic of it all.
I'll never NOT work with you but I would need the specific reason you are interest in the RAW files.
Every session varies in how many images are delivered, but I promise I’ll always include plenty of images of everything I capture. I don’t like to give a cut-off number because I don’t believe in withholding any images from you!
Weddings: 100+ photos per hour of coverage
Other Sessions: 50+ photos
I am literally as excited as you are to see all of the images.. I love editing just as much as I love shooting/hanging out with you so I get really excited to send over 3-5 sneak peaks within 72 hour, I usually text you a link for easy access.
The full gallery from all sessions (not including weddings) takes me about 2 weeks. Shoots that happen in October and November usually take 2-3 weeks due to how insanely busy that month is for the photography industry as
You will receive an online gallery via your email, for easy printing, downloading and sharing. It's freaking amazing! It's so easy to use. It has a gallery assist when you first log in that will walk you through how it all works. There is a shop attached to every gallery that will populate your chosen images and overlay it into a large variety of products. A few products prints, canvases, albums, calendar, and incredible easy to design albums. You'll love it!

If you're having an adventurous wedding or elopement with a larger group of people, I recommend working with an experienced wedding planner so that they can help you find a location that can accommodate a large group of people, help you apply for all the necessary permits you'll need to hold a wedding and even help you set up a custom dinner for you and your guests. This way everything on your big day will be totally taken care of and you can enjoy spending time with all your guests!
God forbid anything happened to me, I would get a replacement photographer for you and edit the photos myself so that my style still shines through.
I always have a photographer on-call to fill in for me.

Many of my guest have never been to Zion, and aren't really sure what type of experience they want. Discussing the location is the first step. I absolutely love being a part of the location or venue planning because it allows me to get to know you more while we discuss your vision, and it allows me to support the local small businesses in the area by sharing my preferred vendor list. There are so many amazing vendors in the area that work incredibly hard to live here, and I know they would serve you well on your special day.
I encourage my couples to consider choosing a more off the beaten path location rather than a popular tourist attractions when you would end up saying vows in front of 100's of strangers.

I approach these types of sessions in the same way I would an elopement. If you are in your wedding attire, I encourage you to prepare for an intimate session in order to let your emotions of being newly weds really show. does that make sense?
Essentially, I don't trade an elopement for a couple shoot.
I highly suggest two day packages for a variety of reasons. The first being that it allows you slow day and be present the entire day because we aren't rushing around trying to fit everything you want and need into 10 hours of daylight.
For example, if you want to go canyonnerring one morning and then do an adventure location where we have to hike and then trying to make it back for the ceremony that afternoon, I
Booked couples receive a detailed guide for all things planning
e.g
+park rules and permits
+locations inside outside of the park
+vendor connections
+best hikes
+hacks to avoid crowds
I have also put together a welcome email for you to share with your guest, sort of like a digital Guide to Zion to help guest start their planning, too.
Helping couples plan and dream up their day is one of my favorite things! While I'm not an official wedding planner, most of my couples that are having an intimate elopement don't even need one because of how much I am able to provide in the planning process! I can help you with vendor recommendations, location ideas, lodging suggestions, ideas for activities to include in your day, travel logistics, and anything else you need help with! I don't book vendors or travel for you, but I can certainly give you some useful guidance! If you're looking for something more intricate such as a ceremony alter and floral arrangements or a custom tablescape set up for dinner I can recommend some elopement planners!
1 year is recommended, as this will give you the best chances of having your perfect date available and permits or reservations secured. We’ve booked couples in as little as 2 weeks though so anything is possible. That said, within 3 months to a year is the ideal timeframe to book us in advance.
