Before I even pull out my camera, we’ll connect. We’ll loosen you up, share some laughs and stories, and get comfortable with each other. Then when the camera comes out, all of those "we are awkward in front of the camera" stuff goes away and we get genuine laughs.
I’ve been in the business of serving people for 20 years of my life (that’s more than half!). I’ll bring all that experience and more to making sure you know exactly what to expect and can focus on spending this amazing time with your partner and loved ones.

Our photo journey isn't complete until I know you have tangibles treasures hanging on your walls, decorating your coffee tables in beautiful high quality albums, printed on holidays cards that your friends and family hang on their fridge.
Printed photos should matter to you too.

The real fun starts with the phone call because getting to know one another and building trust right away will ultimately help you feel comfortable in front of the camera.
As soon as you'd like but the earlier the better. Zion is the 5th busiest National Park in the NATION. It's always busy no matter the month, but if you're interested in October or November it's best to book ASAP because that's our busiest month by far. no worries though because I am an 8 year local so I know how to avoid the crowds and still get the magic of canyon views. BUT there's only one me and I take a limited number of shoots to keep a healthy work life balance and so that I can give YOU my all through the entire process.
Zion is my HOME. Helping you feel welcome and at home here is a big part of my service. In fact most of the guest I connect with have never been to Zion before so you're not alone. Sharing this area is my most favorite thing to do with y'all. Once you book, I will send over a link with tons of recommendations of local favorite restaurants
I have been shooting portraits in Zion and teaching landscape photography for 7 years, we have chosen to cancel due to weather less than 5 times, I say 'we' because some people are ok going out in a little rain, it's freaking romantic. But I realize not everyone is ok with that so we collaborate on what we are all comfortable with. I keep a close eye on the weather leading up to your session and will reach out if things aren't looking great. I do my best to reschedule during the time you have left in the park but if we can't, I will refund the total minus a 10% retainer which covers all of the time that went into planning and holding the date. Or you can chose to use your shoot at another time within one year.
*I am unable to honor a reschedule or cancelation due to full sun or full overcast as that is a preference I can't control.
*I can not guarantee that the example photos you've seen of my work will have the same dramatic clouds or sunbeams or rainbows. Nature does want it wants and I do my best to make every single weather situation magical for YOU!
Yes! Vegas is one hour ahead of us, so if you are coming straight fText, call, or email me right away. Your adventure shoot may be cut short, or depending on my schedule, you may be able to extend your shoot by adding time at a rate of $100 per 30 minute increment. For this reason I encourage you to arrive at least 10 minutes before your shoot at the designated meet-up spot. Please be aware that during summer Zion is very busy and you are more likely to deal with traffic, limited parking, and lines for the shuttle.
You will receive an online gallery for easy printing, downloading and sharing. It's freaking amazing! It's so easy to use, it has a gallery assist when you first log in that will walk you through how it all works. There is a shop attached to every gallery that will populate your chosen images and overlay it into a large variety of products. A few products prints, canvases, albums, calendar, and incredible easy to design albums. You'll love it!
I am literally as excited as you are to see all of the images.. I love editing just as much as I love shooting/hanging out with you so I get really excited to send over 3-5 sneak peaks within 72 hour, I usually text you a link for easy access.
The full gallery from all sessions (not including weddings) takes me about 2 weeks. Shoots that happen in October and November usually take 2-3 weeks due to how insanely busy that month is for the photography industry as a whole.
As part of every package, I include the rights to share on any platform and print high resolution images from your chosen print lab. In fact, you are able to print directly from the gallery link that will be delivery via email.
The only thing you do not have the rights to do, without my written agreement, is use the images for commercial use. For example, if you are wearing Danner boots you couldn't sell the images to that Brand. Let's talk more about that if you are interested in using the images in a commercial way.
Cancellation Policy — COVID-19
Cancellations outside of 14 days of their trip are offered a full refund, minus the %10 retainer. Any cancellations inside of 6 days will not allow for any refunds although we will issue a transferrable voucher for the full cost of the trip minus the retainer. This voucher is valid for up to one year from the reservation date. Any cancellations with valid documentation of their inability to travel based on health or home governing systems will receive a full refund minus the retainer (with first being offered the voucher options).
Please contact us immediately if you need to cancel your trip. Full refunds are provided with more than 7 days’ notice. Cancellations within 7 days of your reservation date are not refundable.
In the event of unsafe weather or other dangerous conditions, your guide may choose to cancel a trip. Guide cancelled trips receive a future trip credit or full refund, minus the retainer. Rainfall or a forecast of rain does not necessarily require a trip be cancelled.
Once you let me know you are ready to book, I create an online proposal and contract for you to review. If you agree to the terms and services, you sign the contract and will be promoted to digital invoice and the options to pay with either bank transfer or debit/credit! I prefer ACH bank transfers, to lower my cost, which will show up as "Pay With e-Check" and connects right from your bank account to mine. (This option is so, so easy, I promise. All you need is your bank log-in and it takes 5 seconds.)
Where do I even start- from the beginning Katie was a wealth of knowledge, professional, responsive, and so polite! We fell in love with her photography, ( I mean, it looks like its from a magazine!) and she made us feel so SO comfortable in-front of the camera. Our engagement session came out even better than we had hoped, and now our biggest debate it to decide which prints to put on the wall. This was also one of our favorite experiences during our stay because it was so unique, and we saw so many parts of the park. She had so much knowledge about Zion, the landscape, and the surrounding area too, that she helped us with so many little questions during our stay. If you are considering an elopement, engagement, or photography session while in the Springdale/Zion area Katie will definitely exceed your expectations and you will fall in love with the photographs she captures of you, and your loved ones.

I initially reached out to her because of the quality of her work, and because she has such an adventurous spirit. But what’s more, is that she offered more than just photography— what we paid for, was for an experience I will never forget.
Not only was she our photographer for a surprise engagement, but she created a custom experience for it. She directed me to a secret and beautiful location to have a set up. She woke up at 6am, inflated the balloons and set up the surprise site; coordinated with the town bike shop and USPS to ensure that our plan was in place; and convincingly acted like a bike tour guide in front of my fiancé to keep the surprise.
It was so special, and so much fun, and I appreciate her beyond measure. She was so easy to connect with, and has a genuine disposition for what she does.
