Being a kid can be difficult, emotional, and often times confusing. I believe in teaching children to navigate these emotions using photography and nature as a creative outlet.
This project has been stirring in my spirit for over 10 years. It started out as a desire to give back; give kindness and love to youth in need. I wandered for years, getting to know myself and consistently questioning what I should be doing and where I should be doing it. Through many serendipitous encounters, I have ended up in Zion National Park; taking portraits, teaching landscape photography and dreaming of using my skills to give kids a creative outlet in nature. Over the years, life has prepared me for THIS exact moment. Many of my 'ah-ha' moments surfaced through struggles; while adventuring in the outdoors with a camera in my hand. It's beautiful what comes of out heart ache, mistakes and seeking purpose.
10% of every photography session and 100 of every print purchase from the link below will go towards cameras for the kids we will work with in the future.

I am so proud and honored to collaborate with Jillian of @allwaysadventure to help exposed youth to safely adventuring through this beautiful area.
.
I have been developing a program called ‘Wild Within YOU(th)’ where I volunteer my time and skills to spend time with young people in the outdoors. My overall goal is to connect with kids, dealing with anxiety and depression, to share with them the healing powers of being in the outdoors.
.
It was an absolute honor to partner with Jillian because her heart for the local community is unmatched. She freely gives her time, skills, gear and positive joyful energy as a way to bring locals together and offer connection to both one another and the outdoors. I hope to do more and more of this in the future.
